The foundation of America has been built on the backs of those willing to sacrifice and make hard choices personally, for the good of the people as a whole. This has never been more on display then during the Civil Rights Movement of the 60’s. This movement happened in a time of Black Codes, better known as “Jim Crow” laws. Did you know that January is National Slavery and Human Trafficking Prevention month in America? That’s just an interesting little tid bit that I thought you would enjoy. But, after learning this, I was immediately disturbed because, how big of a slavery and trafficking problem do we have if we have a whole month recognizing its prevention?
