Heresay – The Bible & This Whole Christmas Thing

So countless people around the world celebrate Jesus’s alleged birthday on December 25th each year.  I don’t usually even do the Religion talks because people have their own beliefs and they are entitled to that and who am I to judge?  In fact, I don’t judge at all but I do have my opinion and since is my site…… c’mon yall know the rest.

Here’s where my problem lies and I’m going to explain WHY I question these things every step of the way, here goes…

First, The Bible is a book that was written by people, I think some people confuse The Bible as being written by GOD, this is just my opinion so calm down and read it through, then feel free to comment, leave me nasty emails, etc.

Moving along, yall know how when something happens and people are there you can ask the same 10 people that were there and you’ll get 10 entirely DIFFERENT stories, matter fact what was that movie that came out last year or so about the President or somebody getting assassinated and they told the story from like 8 different people’s view?  Zoe Saldana and Forrest Whittaker starred in it.

Anyway, it’s been proven that there were several books of The Bible that were left out, I just want to know who was on the committee to decide who’s story got in and who’s didn’t.  Were there bribes involved, cliques, etc.  What if they didn’t let 1 person’s book in because someone didn’t like them?  People need to take all these things into account when reading The Bible, in my opinion.

Now my next question is this whole “immaculate conception” thing, I’m just saying, imagine if Mary down the block tried to say she just wound up pregnant?  I don’t necessarily buy into that theory and to be perfectly honest people in Biblical times were just like people now, so I don’t believe they believed all that either.

The whole Jesus thing….. I don’t know, I believe he was a prophet brought here to spread the word to people.  Did he have healing powers?  Maybe, I don’t necessarily disbelieve it, they said Mother Theresa healed people too.

On the flip side, I definitely believe there is a GOD cus’ some stuff is just unexplainable otherwise.  I guess that’s where faith comes in.  Before you guys try to call me an Atheist and all that other stuff, I want to say I don’t necessarily subscribe to any religion.  I was raised Baptist until age 8 and then my mother became and raised me Muslim.

I think religions are just ways for people to separate and exclude people.  I think people have been fighting religious battles and wars for too long for nothing because I think there is only 1 GOD no matter what you call Him.  Hmmmm, HIM, that opens up my other argument, how do we know GOD isn’t a woman?

I could take this blog all over the place but I won’t I’m just curious to see what other people think.
