A South Florida woman whose husband jilted her after winning the lottery is about to be evicted from her house, the Sun Sentinel reported. But for Donna Campbell, the holiday season has brought at least a hint of a silver lining: a moving company has offered to move and store her belongings for free.

Campbell’s husband, 53-year-old Arnim Ramdass, shared a $19 million Lotto jackpot with a pool of co-workers back in 2007, said the paper. His first move, Campbell told the Sun Sentinel, was to cut off the cable, phone and Internet service at their Miramar, Fla., home.

Then, after what Campbell recalls as an angry confrontation, Ramdass left her. She tried to sue him for half of the jackpot, said the paper, but her suit was dismissed in 2008. And in February, the house she had shared with her husband went into foreclosure.

“I have asked myself over and over what I did to deserve this — to deserve this ending,” Campbell told WPLG/10 News. Nor does she have much hope of getting any immediate support from her husband. “I have no idea where he is,” she said.

Meanwhile, the proprietors at AA Varco Moving & Storage heard about Campbell’s plight on TV and decided to lighten her load for the holidays, said the station. They offered to move and store her possessions for free.

Campbell was touched by this display of generosity. “They are doing an excellent job,” she told the paper. “I’m so happy they called. It’s making quite a difference in my life.”

For now, said the paper, she will move in with her sister. But she hasn’t yet given up on the idea of sharing her husband’s payout.

“I intend to find him,” she assured WPLG. ” I will keep trying until I get him.”

K.I.M Says: This is a damn shame but I bet if she was black and offered some money to whoever gave up his location she’d be straight!
