D.O.A And The Model Chicks/Wanna-be Singers

Some people say you can’t turn a ho into a housewife, I personally think you can’t turn a model into a singer, but we all know I’m wrong about that, let’s discuss…
On 2nd thought are they really turned into singers or do they just play them on MTV, BET and VH1, lol!
Amerie and Cassie are both coming back out with new albums, I seriously question why, how, wtf, who are they f*ckn for new budgets, okay wait, we all know who Cassie is f*ckn for her budget, shoes, trips, clothes, etc. but Amerie?
Now I’m going to be honest I liked the last two songs Amerie lead her albums with. I still pump “Why Don’t We Fall in Love” it’s one of my favorite songs (reminds me of my Jeep, and the dude I was messing with at that time, whewwww!) and “One Thing” with the go-go beat and dude killing the plastic bucket in the video….was crazy! And we won’t even question that she’s a beautiful girl, that goes without saying. The thing that kills me is I know someone who worked with her who said she sings so damn bad they always close the sessions and the shit is torture listening to her. I saw her perform live and it was the best comedy show I’ve ever been to. With that being said you wonder, how does the end result come out sounding the way it does?
Auto-tune, that’s how. Auto-tune is used in music in a variety of ways not just the T-Painesque’ way we’ve been held captive of for the last couple of years. Auto-tune is actually defined as a proprietary auto processor that uses a phase vocoder to correct pitch in vocal and instrument performances. It is used to disguise inaccuracies and mistakes, and has allowed many artists to produce more precisely tuned recordings. In addition to being used to subtly change pitch it’s settings can be adjusted as an effect to deliberately distort the human voice.
Time Magazine quoted an unnamed Grammy-winning recording engineer as saying, “Let’s just say I’ve had Auto-Tune save vocals on everything from to pop to r&b and even soundtrack albums. And every singer now presumes that you’ll just run their voice through the box.” – That shits just lazy, run their voice through the box…..

I’m sick of this shit, Mary J didn’t use no damn auto-tune and we all know how off pitch she used to be but that shit was hot ‘cus it was raw, genuine, real singing. I’m tired of the industry using these no talent “pretty girls” when there are tons of women who can sing, sang, blow out there. What about talent? That’s why the music business is in the state that it’s in, we have no talent cocky mothaf*ckas running around like they great because they happen to look the way society has determined as beautiful.
I remember when Kelly Price came out, she had a hit song with no video and promo posters up with no picture of her because the label was scared of how people would react/accept her physical appearance. After she blew up, developed a following then they started dropping videos and she went on to bring us some great music.
Can we get some more of that shit please? I don’t need to see who’s singing. The music should speak for itself not the likeness of the person performing it.
So now that Jay-Z has declared death of auto-tune and we know people are always jocking Jay-Z, jocking jocking Jay-Z, does this mean we are going to be punished with having to listen to these pretty girls try to sing? Hell no, nobody gives a flying f*ck bout what Jay-Z said I think he just did that for the hype. I’m just saying Kanye produced the whole album, he’s now co-signing this Jay-Z shit and his ENTIRE last album was done using auto-tune…AMAZING (pun intended) !!!!!!!go figure?
Regarding Cassie, there’s nothing really to say about her, beautiful girl, can’t sing, I don’t even know the name of her new song or her old songs and I’m not checking for it, all her songs are mediocre at best, the naked picture thing, nice try but didn’t work, my advice get down with the Diddy child support plan and keep it moving it is funny though that she’s the only BadBoy artist not screaming about having no money.
